Made with 100% gauze cotton fibers, this fabric was created using an indigenous weaving style. Each yarn was woven by hand on a wooden loom, the way fabric was created before industrial processes took over our clothing. We are a husband and wife team who work directly alongside several family owned facilities that practice Fair Trade practices. We have been handpicking fabrics, designing, producing and supporting charities in Northern Thailand since 2011. As always, an estimated profit margin of 15% of each sale goes to our foundation which supports people in need of basic human rights in the areas where we do business. Our mission began as a volunteer project at a women's shelter and we are proud to continue paying it forward now as a business.
Care Instructions:
Our gauze cotton can be machine washed separately and gentle. This will continue to soften the fibers, but reduce the life of the garment and will slowly fade colors as well. To keep colors sharp and extend the life of your handwoven poncho, hand wash warm with gentle soap and shade dry.
